The Hotelier's Event!
The 196+ Hotel Forum is a prestigious event for hoteliers, featuring two main highlights.
The Hotel Property Award, one of Europe's top hospitality real estate awards, involves an independent jury nominating ten hotels and shortlisting three finalists, presented at the forum in Munich.
For this event, PXNEL was selected to build a U-shaped island structure to showcase sponsors and the 2023 nominees. The ten hotels were displayed on 882x882 mm backlit banner panels, easily clicked onto the PxBlock system.
The electrical connection between the blocks was instantly achieved as they were stacked, and the panels lit up seamlessly when clicked into place.
Hospitality
Upgrade Award
In 2022, PXNEL was awarded the esteemed first place in the Hospitality Upgrade Award. Their innovative modular wall covering system, featuring panel modules that can be attached and removed with a single click, set a new standard in the industry.

To improve room acoustics by using Moss, Wooden Acoustic, and Textile Acoustic Panels. Each panel has a small air gap behind it, allowing sound to bounce further and reducing echoes.
To provide the ability to hang student projects without damaging the walls, we used pinboard panels (Dark Blue) featuring a backboard, a 10mm cork layer, and a durable textile cover.
To provide a space to display information and hang coats and bags, we incorporated versatile panels. These panels feature a durable backboard, a 10mm cork layer for pinning information, and sturdy hooks for hanging coats and bags, ensuring functionality without compromising wall integrity.

A kitchen shared by around 20 people for preparing food and coffee features a bar-height table positioned against the wall. The setup is designed to adapt to the table's placement and coexist seamlessly with it. Additionally, a bit of extra space is left empty around the table to allow for slight adjustments in its position.
The room experienced acoustic problems due to insufficient sound absorption. To address this, and with design in mind, various types of acoustic panels were installed to stabilize the sound and improve the overall acoustics during use.
Additionally, a pinwall for hanging documents and notices was installed, along with a coat hanger to create more room and reduce clutter.

The user of this office sought to make the room cozier and warmer while also incorporating a soft surface along the wall. To achieve this, grey upholstered acoustic panels, almost 5 cm thick, were installed. These panels not only provided effective sound absorption but also added a touch of 3D texture to the room, enhancing its visual and tactile appeal.
This office frequently interacts with many students, and the user desired a pin wall to display important documents.
A coat hanger panel was also installed above the acoustic panels to provide space for long coats and winter jackets, ensuring the room remains organized and clutter-free.

The user of this room had a lot of empty wall space in this office and wanted to have two PxSkin clusters on opposite walls. This is the first cluster (A).
The user wanted to incorporate natural materials in front of the desk to create a calming and visually appealing focal point.
A whiteboard with a bright wooden frame was already hung on the wall, and fortunately, its height was just right for placing two 16POS (60x60 cm) PxSkins stacked on top of each other. This arrangement allowed the setup to fit perfectly next to the whiteboard, creating a seamless and cohesive look.

The user of this room had a lot of empty wall space in this office and wanted to have two PxSkin clusters on opposite walls. This is the second cluster (B).
To address the user’s need for a presentable and effective A4 paper organization system, we designed a solution that aligns with the design language of the first wall setup (A). By using the same type of wood for the backboards, we installed three paper-holder panels, providing ample space for the user to organize and rearrange their documents in the future.
An interesting aspect of this case is the potential to inter-change panels within the same room over time. This benefit enables users to refresh the room’s aesthetics or easily adapt to new organizational needs.

To bring beauty and a touch of nature to the white walls, the user decided on a checkered pattern featuring a harmonious mix of Modulon wooden panels and Moss panels.
The Modulon panels feature wooden profiles with a slotted cross-rectional design that allow for the attachment of various modules, including hangers, cups, trays, and more, providing flexible and functional storage solutions.
The bottom row of panels is positioned almost exactly at the height of the user while sitting at a desk chair. This thoughtful placement provides a soft backing for the user and helps protect the moss material from potential damage.

This banner, stretched with four edge frame panels embedded with lights, seamlessly clicked into place once the blocks were swiftly stacked. The entire setup process was designed to be effortlessly simple.
To add some acctivities to the event, 2 basketball hoops (Left) were added as well as a top scorrer chalk board, where guests would compete as they tour the event for the first place!

Playground
The Pxnel showroom is as constantly changing playground. When we started working on solutions for wall mounting, we were playing in the 2D realm. Not to undermine its importance. Infact, it was probably the most important unloking we had to do until this day. But after we had the 2D solution PxSkin, and filled up our walls with modular panels, we were left with an embty space in the middle. Which lead to our initiation of construction of standing structures. We thought, ok, if we can build vertically, lift off the ground, things may get interresting very quickly.
This is why we created the Pxnel Playground, soely and certainly for us all to play together.

But that wasn't all! A stunning photo wall, complete with a professional photographer, invited guests to take unforgettable photos in front of the logo, reinforcing the brand identity and creating a memorable experience.
Hospitality Glam!
UPNEXT, the first business festival for the hospitality sector in Germany, debuted in 2023 at the Munich Congress Center.
The project aimed to create a captivating backdrop featuring the event's logo in large 3D letters, mounted on a back-lit banner with a purple design of diffused camera lights. The PxBlock system was utilized to construct the walls, allowing panels of various types to click into place effortlessly, creating a larger-than-life effect.
Rows of lush green moss panels above and below the logo further enhanced its appeal. Guests were so captivated by the backdrop that they eagerly lined up to take selfies and group photos.

Hospitality Upgrade Award
In 2022, PXNEL was awarded the esteemed first place in the Hospitality Upgrade Award. Their innovative modular wall covering system, featuring panel modules that can be attached and removed with a single click, set a new standard in the industry.

PXNEL SHOWROOM
